Classes of Membership
Full Members: They shall be entitled to all privileges of membership. (This Class includes Senior Members) This is the only class of members who are able to hold official positions within the club and vote at General and Annual meetings.
Junior Members: A Junior Member is not less than 15 years of age and under 18 years of age at the start of the subscription year (1^st of October). This class of membership remains until the end of the subscription year (30^th September) in which the member attains the age of 18 years.
School Pupil Members: A School Pupil Member is less than 15 years of age at the start of the subscription year (1^st of October). This class of membership remains until the end of the subscription year (30^th September) in which the member attains the age of 15 years.
Country Members: A person shall be eligible as a Country Member only while they are a full member of another Golf Club and reside outside a radius of 20 kilometres from the Greenacres Country Club’s clubhouse. A Country Member cannot play in the Club Championships.
Associate Members: An associate member shall receive an NZGA Handicap and be allowed 5 free rounds of golf at Greenacres, any extra rounds will be at affiliated green fee rate.
Summer/Winter: Summer membership period is deemed to be the period of Daylight Saving in any given year. Winter membership is the alternate part of the year from the Summer membership period. A Summer/Winter Member cannot play in the Club Championships.
9 Hole Members: Play is restricted to 9 holes on any day unless so determined by the Match Committee. These members to have an official 9 hole handicap. A 9 Hole Member cannot play in the Club Championships.
Tertiary Member: A Tertiary Member is a person enrolled as a full time student at a tertiary institution and is not in paid employment for more than 25 hours per week.
Beginner Member: New to golf or must not have held a handicap in last 3 years. Beginner membership - first 12 months $350, 2nd year $450, 3rd year $550, 4th year full rates.
